What is Health ?


       Health is a state of physical , mental and social well-being in which disease and infirmity are absent .

Importance of Health :

     *  Without health we can't do anything . In everywhere like at wealth , relationship , business in all this ways health is very important . 

     *  If we are ill than it affects our healthy lifestyles, relationships ,at work .

     *. Healthy people are more productive , live longer and save more . 

     *. Many factors are influencing our health and it varies country wise .

     *.  Health can multiply happiness .

Types of health :

      A. Physical health ,

      B. Mental health ,

      C. Environmental health ,

      D. Spiritual health ,

      E. Social  health ,

      F. Occupational health ,

      G. Intellectual health .

  A. Physical health :

          Physical health is defined as the condition of your body , taking into consideration everything , from the absence of disease to fitness level physical health is critical for overall well -being  and can be affected by lifestyle : like diet , level of physical activity and behaviour.

  .  Components of physical health :

            Physical activity includes hiking , billing and walking . Exercises includes strength training , running and sports .
  
           Nutrition and diet : A well balanced diet should take daily which contains carbohydrates , proteins , fats , vitamins and minerals .

   B. Mental health :

             Mental health is the level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness . Mental health refers to cognitive , behavioural and emotional wellbeing. It is all about how people think , feel and behave .

  . Mental health and wellness : 

          Positive mental health allows people to : Realise their full potential , cope with the stresses of life , work productively , make meaningful contributions to their communities .

   . Ways to maintain positive mental health :

      Staying positive , helping others , getting physically active , getting enough sleep .


    C. Environmental health :

       Environmental health is the branch of public health that focuses on the interrelationships between people and their environment , promotes human health and well -being and fosters healthy and self communities .

  . Components of environmental health includes:

     Housing sanitation , water sanitation , food hygiene and safety , health education , school health services , air population control , care of the dead  , sanitation of market  , prevention and control of communicable disease and control of noise pollution .

  D. Spiritual health :

          Spiritual health is achieve when you feel at peace with life . Spiritual psychological and social aspects of human life . Spiritual health is different for every one.

   . Some examples of spiritual health :

      Volunteerism social responsibility , contributing to society , connectedness with others , feeling of being part of a group .


  E. Social health :

    Social health is commonly defined as you ability to form meaningful relationships with people and interact in healthy , positive ways .

     Social health maintain is important to develop and maintain healthy relationship . A socially healthy person can live longer and improve immunity power to fight against infectious diseases .

 F. Occupational health :

      Occupational health is defined as the highest degree of physical , mental and social well-being of workers in all occupations . It is the branch of health care which deals with all aspects of health and safety the workplace .

  . Main focus of occupational health :

     The main focus of occupational health is on three different objectives ; (i) The maintenance and promotion of workers , health and working capacity ; (ii) The improvement of working environment and work to become conductive to safety and health . ; (iii) Development of work organisations and working cultures .

   G. Intellectual health :

           Intellectual health is defined as the productivity of a person . When a person is healthy he / she can product something . It is demonstrated in a persons ability to think critically .

         Examples are _ Think in a positive way , focus on current events , develop creative ways to adapt to unexpected obstacles .
